MICRONEEDLING
Microneedling is a treatment that is used to encourage collagen production using small, sterilized
needles. It helps smooth, firm the skin and improve the appearance of scars, acne, and wrinkles.
The procedure involves applying a pen-like device, to the surface of the skin. The device has tiny
needles that penetrate the upper layer of skin and break up old strands of collagen in the lower
layer.
This wound healing response is what stimulates new collagen and elastin formation which then
assists with plumping out fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scarring. It also reduces the appearance of
pigmentation, enlarged pores, and stretch marks.
